Short Stories.

I woke up to hear knocking on glass. At first I stared at the window presuming it to be the source of noise. That is when I heard it come from the mirror on my bed side table.

As I felt her teeth bite into my windpipe and my warm blood trickle down my neck my eyes fell upon the luminescent watch which read 1:03. Panting I woke up with a start only to realize its a dream. As a sign of relief escaped my throat I looked at the watch to read 1:01 and it was at this moment my cupboard door began to creak.

I grew up with pets bustling all around my house, scratching, hissing and playing around the corridors. Now that I live alone, the scratching by my couch seems unsettling.

My wife shook me up from sleep. "Why are you breathing so heavily? Are you okay honey?" she stopped as her hand met my face. My breathing was more calm than her''s was. That was when I head heavy breathing right behind her.

"Dad help! I'm stuck here, I can't get out and there's someone here with me!" As her screams kept making their way into my room it became more unbearable every second. It would have been a lot less terrifying if I had a daughter.

I was going through my photos to edit and put up on Instagram when I found a photo of myself taken while sleeping. I sleep alone.

Hearing her mom yell for her downstairs Rachel began to rush down the stairs. It was late at night and something could have happened, given the urgency of her voice. As she was half way down she heard her mother behind her yell "I heard that too!"
